How I Work

My goal is to help people shift from just surviving life to actually experiencing it.

I help you engage in your life with more clarity, confidence, and ease.

Sessions with me are structured but warm.

We move at a pace that keeps you feeling supported and heard. I will offer a space to breathe and sort through the noise while making sense of what’s been weighing you down.

I focus on creating a space where you can slow down, feel safe, and actually hear yourself again.

I help untangle what’s happening beneath the surface so you can understand your patterns and not just push through them.

Who I tend to work well with

My clients tend to be people who are ready for depth, honesty, and real change, not just quick fixes.

They’re often humans who have been just surviving but know something deeper needs attention. They value a warm, grounded therapist who can help them understand the roots of their patterns while still keeping the work practical and doable in everyday life.

In my work with individuals, I bring a trauma‑informed, collaborative, and emotionally attuned lens. Someone who helps them feel understood while also guiding them toward meaningful, sustainable change.

In my work with couples, I work a bit like a translator and a coach rolled into one. We look at what’s getting in the way of connection, rebuild trust where it’s been shaken, and practice communication that feels more honest and less reactive. We explore the root causes behind the disconnect. It may be old wounds, unhelpful beliefs, or emotional habits that once protected them but now hold them back.

Collaborative sessions, not rigid

Sessions with me tend to feel grounded, warm, and purposeful. I offer a collaborative pace with direction and flexibility. We will follow what’s emerging for you while keeping the bigger goals in view.

With a trauma‑informed approach, we pay attention to your nervous system, emotional safety, and the impact of past experiences. I will help bring insight without being overwhelming.

My goal in the session is for clients to feel deeply understood as well as gently challenged.

Psychological Assessment

Psychological assessments with me are systematic and supportive. They are designed to give clients a clear, meaningful understanding of their strengths, challenges, and needs.

I approach each assessment with warmth and deliberation. I create an environment where children, teens, and adults feel comfortable, respected, and understood throughout the process.

Training and professional background

I am deeply committed to ongoing growth as a therapist. I actively seek out new learning opportunities, regularly engaging in specialized courses, workshops, and continuing education. This dedication ensures my work remains grounded in current research, best practices, and evolving approaches within the field.

I invest in training that aligns with the needs of the individuals, couples, and families that I support. This ongoing education allows me to bring fresh insight, updated tools, and a deeper level of attunement into each session.

I also bring extensive experience in psychological assessment, offering comprehensive evaluations that support clarity, direction, and informed treatment planning.

Outside of the therapy room

As long as I can remember, I have always wanted to work in mental health. One of my mom’s favourite stories is me saying I wanted to be a “brain doctor” but being afraid of blood. When I was asked how I would do this my simple answer was “inside the brain”.

Being present for my family and friends in meaningful ways has contributed to my love of psychology. My desire to change people’s worlds a little at a time helped me identify my career path.

My parents have always believed in my potential. I deeply appreciate the access and ability to pursue my post-secondary education.

My Perfect Day

A perfect day would be sleeping in, reading a good book, taking Harley for many walks, and laughing with my favourite people. I would finish the day by watching some episodes of my comfort shows, like The Office.
