PSYCHOLOGISTS IN RED DEER AND EDMONTON

Support when
you need it

A place to slow things down, talk things through, and get support
without judgment or pressure to have answers right away.

Our Mission

Our mission at It Takes Practice is to support people through thoughtful, ethical therapy that values care, collaboration and growth over time. We believe change happens through practice—not pressure—and that meaningful support begins with meeting people where they’re at.

Our Values in Practice

Compassion
without judgment

We meet people where they’re at. No labels, no assumptions. No pressure to explain themselves.

Professional,
ethical care

Our work is grounded in evidence-based practice, clear boundaries and a deep respect for client safety and confidentiality.

Collaboration
and fit

Therapy works best when it’s a good match. We work collaboratively and support clients in finding the right fit, even if that means another clinician.

Growth through
practice

Change doesn’t come from trying harder or getting it “right”. It comes from gentle repetition, awareness and support over time.

Meet the Team

Our practice is built on a collaborative approach. While each therapist brings their own perspective and areas of focus, we share the same commitment to ethical care and compassion.

You don’t need to know exactly who to work with right away. We’re here to help you find the right fit, and if that changes over time, that’s okay too.

Because Change Takes
Practice

The name It Takes Practice reflects how change actually happens. Growth isn’t about pushing harder or getting it right straight away—it’s about giving yourself the time, repetition and support needed to learn new ways of thinking, feeling and responding.

The neuron in our logo represents neuroplasticity and the brain’s ability to change over time. In therapy, this often looks like gently practising new patterns, even when old ones feel familiar. With patience and support, those new ways of responding start to feel more natural.
